How did it all start?
Let's take a trip down memory lane...
Mom's laptop
The first games I've ever played were definitely not on my own gaming consoles. Instead, I got to play some on my mom's laptop or my cousin's laptop whenever we visited family. I mainly played Flash games on those old Flash game websites during this time though. (RIP Adobe Flash...)
Nintendo DS Lite
I think I must've been around 7 years old when I got my first gaming console; the Nintendo DS. With it, I got Professor Layton and the Curious Village. It's a puzzle/mystery solving game and is a franchise close to my heart ever since. Very nostalgic.
Nintendo 3DS
When I was around 10 years old I then got my Nintendo 3DS, mainly because the last two Professor Layton games where Nintendo 3DS exclusive and I had no other way of playing them otherwise. Tomodachi Life was another 3DS game I spent a lot of time playing. Very excited for the upcoming Tomodachi Life game that's releasing in 2026, I can't believe it's been over a decade already since the first game.
Wii
The Wii was my first non-handheld console. I got it in 2014, and I remember being very excited about it. I had the time of my life playing Wii games like Go Vacation, Wii Party, LEGO: Pirates of the Caribbean, Just Dance 4,... this console definitely marked the period in my life I'm most nostalgic about.
Playstation 4
Timeskip to high school where i got my second handheld console where I ACTUALLY started playing a lot more games on. Some of my favourites I've played on here have got to be Final Fantasy XV, NieR: Automata, and Zero Escape.
PC
Pivotal moment in my gaming experience: I started playing on PC! I actually built my PC myself, and I'm really proud of it. Until this day I play games on my PC 95% of the time.
Nintendo Switch
My latest console to the collection. I bought it second-hand from a classmate of mine in high school during Covid. Definitely helped me pass the time during this period!
